WWW Wednesday (February 11)

This weekly meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. It’s open to all to participate. Why not join in and let us know what you’re reading this week…

WWW Wednesday

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

The MiniaturistThe Miniaturist by Jessie Burton

This was my selection for our book club read this month. I’d seen so much about it on Twitter I thought I’d suggest it. Historical fiction is not really my bag but this is why book clubs are so great, they really diversify your reading and get you to try new genres.

What did you recently finish reading?

Second LifeSecond Life by SJ Watson

The second book from the author of Before I Go To Sleep was always going to be a tough act to follow. It’s a good second book and for the most part I thought it was quite slow; not really gaining any pace till around 75% of the book.

I’m looking forward to going to SJ Watson’s event at Booka Bookshop in early March to hear him speak about his latest book though.

What do you think you’ll read next?

sasncI’m going to be taking part in Sophie & Suze’s Netgalley Reading Challenge so will be tackling my Netgalley TBR pile over the next few weeks. My recommended feedback to approval ratio is currently 61% so there’s work to be done.

Here’s my TBR:

The A to Z of You and Me by James Hannah

The Ship by Antonia Honeywell

Hausfrau by Jill Alexander Essbaum

A Reunion of Ghosts by Judith Claire Mitchell

The Slaughter Man by Tony Parsons

Stolen Child by Laura Elliot

The Book of Secrets by Elizabeth Arnold

Eternally 21 by Linda Joffe Hull

What’s on your reading list this week?
